Compilation of an organic market report for the Ministry of Agriculture of Schleswig-Holstein

Project aim:

The political objective of the state of Schleswig-Holstein is to double the proportion of organic farms. In 2023, the proportion of organic farmland is around 7.9%. This increase requires considerable efforts and incentives for agriculture and downstream sectors.

The organic market report therefore aims to provide detailed data along the organic value chains in Schleswig-Holstein and thus provide guidance for entrepreneurial and political action.

Activities of ECOZEPT:

In cooperation with Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft mbH (AMI), Ecozept analyses the supply of organic products by crop type. Demand is also identified and compared with supply. In order to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for the organic sector in Schleswig-Holstein, we use production and consumption data and conduct a survey among experts in the value chain to determine the supply and demand situation.
