    Supply chains and territories

Project aim:
The municipality of Buzançais in the French Department of Indre faces the challenge that the number of visitors to its weekly market declines. To tackle this problem, the municipality commissioned ECOZEPT to investigate the feasibility of new direct distribution channels to improve the access of consumers to local products sold on the market, such as installing a refrigerated vending machine.

Activities of ECOZEPT:
Different point-of-sale scenarios for the products will be developed in a participatory approach with local agricultural producers, retailers, consumers and citizens of Buzançais. The business model of the most promising scenario will be in-depth investigated. Furthermore, a detailed roadmap for different actors of the supply chain will be developed to establish the new direct marketing channel.
