Strategic analysis for the development of the organic dairy sector in Southern Alsace

Project aim:
The OPABA wanted to help organic milk producers in southern Alsace to better promote their production and develop organic dairy farms in this region. To this end, it has entrusted ECOZEPT with a double mission: to study market opportunities with dairy operators in the basin, and to analyze collective initiatives of producers for the processing and promotion of organic dairy products in other regions in France.

Activities of ECOZEPT:
Based on in-depth case studies and expert interviews with key operators in the region, Ecozept proposed a strategic market analysis and highlighted the opportunities for organic breeders in southern Alsace. The mobilization of farmers and other operators around the study enabled OPABA to support the emergence of a new group of producers, which has built new supply chain opportunities at regional scale
