Project aim:
In three boden:ständig areas within the Upper Bavarian district of Freising (Ambacher Bach, Hutgraben, Thalhauser Graben) ECOZEPT is working together with the Landcare Association Freising (Landschaftspflegeverband) and the planning office Ruhlandschaft on the joint task of flood prevention. The aim is to retain water and prevent erosion by adjusting agricultural management practices in the area.

Activities of ECOZEPT:
ECOZEPT organizes on-site information events on the topic of flood prevention on agricultural land. The main focus is on individual advising of farmers on buffer strips, crop rotation and conservation tillage. Public funding opportunities for erosion control measures (KULAP) are pointed out to farmers. Another focus of ECOZEPT's work is field inspections, where challenges of intercropping and mulch sowing with the farmers concerned are discussed. This is accompanied by intensive public relations work: press articles for local newspapers and excursions for the interested public.
