Studies

Project aim:
Together with FiBL and 3-LIFE-ART, Ecozept has been commissioned to provide technical support for the development of a community cheese dairy. The aim of the study is to develop a demand- and practice-oriented framework for the establishment of a community cheese dairy, so that it can be implemented immediately in the region.

Activities of ECOZEPT:

In addition to organising workshops with local producers, the focus is on market analysis to determine the marketing potential of milk and dairy products in the Main-Kinzig district. As part of the market analysis, Ecozept is conducting a scientific literature review to identify promising marketing channels. Based on the results of the literature review, a survey will be conducted with experts from the respective marketing channels. Both will lead to a SWOT analysis with recommendations for action and will be included in the profitability calculations.

Client:
Öko-Modellregion Main-Kinzig

Market potentials of innovative crops in Bavaria

Bavarian agriculture is adapting to changing climatic conditions and consumer habits. The list of crops that can grow under these new conditions is expanding (e.g. lentils, chickpeas, peanuts, sweetcorn, grain millet, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth, sesame, etc.). The Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture (LfL) has set itself the goal of promoting the production of these innovative arable crops by exploring their potential for the production of innovative foods through research and knowledge transfer. In order to calibrate and orientate this support work, the LfL needs an assessment of the market potential.

Developing an organic market report within the framework of the implementation of the Organic Action Plan of the state of Brandenburg (Germany)

The political objective of the state of Brandenburg is to convert 20 % of its agricultural land to organic farming by 2024. In 2021, the share of organic land is about 15 %. This increase requires substantial efforts as well as incentives for agriculture and its downstream/subsequent sectors/processes. Building on a study by AMI in 2022, the organic market report is intended to provide detailed data along the organic value chains in Brandenburg and Berlin and therefore offer guidance for corporate and political action.
