Description

  • Project duration: 2024 - 2024
  • Client: Pays Terres de Lorraine
  • Department(s):
    Supply chains and territories
    Sustainable catering

Project aim:

Pays Terres de Lorraine is looking to support the region's collective catering sector and producers in developing a sustainable food supply. The aim of the project is to provide support and raise awareness among stakeholders from both a legal and practical perspective.

Activities of ECOZEPT:

ECOZEPT pooled its skills with the Déclic agency to provide this support. In particular, we held information meetings and awareness-raising workshops on collective catering with local producers and producers' platforms. In-depth surveys of catering sites were carried out to take stock of the supply chains. This survey stage enabled the sites to be assisted in drawing up their public contracts.

Diagnosis of agriculture and collective catering in the Charente department (France)

The Department of Charente wants to support the local and sustainable supply of collective catering for middle schools and medico-social establishments in its territory. The department would like to know the available agricultural supply, the current outlets and the constraints encountered in supplying collective catering. At the same time, a diagnosis of the colleges and medico-social establishments is carried out to characterize the demand and to identify actions to improve supply (fight against food waste, new technical equipment, training of canteen teams, etc.).

Promotion of sustainable food in out-of-home catering in the department "Bouches-du Rhône" (South of France)

Since 2020, the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan region and the Arles area have been jointly implementing a regional food project (PAT) in the Bouches-du-Rhône department. PAT's follow a similar approach to the eco-model regions in Germany, but are not limited to organic food. The two local authorities want to support the region and especially the municipalities in their efforts to offer accessible, local, sustainable and high-quality food in out-of-home catering for all population groups.
