Project aim:
Conducting a market study on alternative forms of milk marketing in the state of Saxony (East Germany). The aim of the study is to show the current situation and market potential and thus to ensure the economic competitiveness of Saxon milk producers.

Activities of ECOZEPT:
Ecozept carries out this market study together with AMI GmbH. The core of the study is a two-stage survey in the three value chains of cow, goat and sheep milk, which is carried out by telephone and online among about 100 market participants (production, processing, trade) and the industry representatives. On the basis of the data obtained in this way and an analysis of strengths and weaknesses, a follow-up project will quantify the market potential of individual marketing forms and derive concrete recommendations for action.

Market potentials of innovative crops in Bavaria

Bavarian agriculture is adapting to changing climatic conditions and consumer habits. The list of crops that can grow under these new conditions is expanding (e.g. lentils, chickpeas, peanuts, sweetcorn, grain millet, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth, sesame, etc.). The Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture (LfL) has set itself the goal of promoting the production of these innovative arable crops by exploring their potential for the production of innovative foods through research and knowledge transfer. In order to calibrate and orientate this support work, the LfL needs an assessment of the market potential.
