Project aim:
To consolidate its strategy for its territorial agricultural development, the « Département du Gers » wished to build an agricultural and food scenario for a resilient territory up to 2050.

Activities of ECOZEPT:
ECOZEPT, in cooperation with SOLAGRO and PALANCA carried out this study, taking into account the relevant nutritional, environmental, social and economic issues of this territory. The different stakeholders of the territory have been closely involved in the elaboration of the scenario, to develop a collective expression of a desirable and feasible future for the agriculture in Gers. This work ultimately contributed to define a co-constructed trajectory for the implementation of a territorial agricultural strategy. Among other things, ECOZEPT has conducted an in-depth work on the local supply chains and their resilience.

Bio Regio Management in Munich 2

Munich's ‘Haus der Kost’ (House of Food), the Competence Centre for Sustainable Nutrition which opened in April 2024, has set itself the goal of increasing the proportion of organic food in out-of-home catering in the city of Munich. To this end, organic regional market structures are to be identified and strengthened and/or established and stabilised. In order to fulfil these tasks, a coordination office ‘Bio-Regio-Management für Lebensmittel in der Außer-Haus-Verpflegung’ (Management of regional organic food in the out-of-home catering) was created, which Ecozept and its subcontractors will continue to support for a further two years.

The economic importance of direct sales (in organic production) WiBiDi

Direct sales are an important trade sector in Germany. Around 2,45 billion euros is spent each year on weekly markets and directly from farmers alone. However, there is yet no scientific data on the importance of direct marketing of organic products for both farmers and the national economy. The main aim of this project is therefore to evaluate the national and regional economic importance of direct marketing of organic products in Germany, and to elaborate a method which allows regular updates in statistical data. Simultaneously, the collected data should enable to develop economic indicators of marketing channels such as market stalls, vending machines or mail order.
