Project aim:
We supported Nîmes Métropole which wished to study the opportunities for the development of local short supply chains with regard to the specificities of its territory. One of the targets identified as an opportunity for the Gard farms is the commercial cathering and the food industry. The ultimate objective of this mission is, through the establishment of a working group, to make proposals for actions to develop local short supply chains.

Activities of ECOZEPT:
We organised and led a working group with the partners involved or likely to be involved in the development of short supply chains in commercial catering in order to
- Express the concerns of operators about the obstacles encountered, constraints, expectations and levers in terms of local short supply chains,
- Encourage exchanges between the stakeholders on this topic,
- Share the expertise and experiences of the actors involved,
- Co-develop an action plan on this theme with the actors concerned,
- To encourage the involvement of stakeholders in the future action plan and facilitate the appropriation of the actions to be developed

Client:

Market potentials of innovative crops in Bavaria

Bavarian agriculture is adapting to changing climatic conditions and consumer habits. The list of crops that can grow under these new conditions is expanding (e.g. lentils, chickpeas, peanuts, sweetcorn, grain millet, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth, sesame, etc.). The Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture (LfL) has set itself the goal of promoting the production of these innovative arable crops by exploring their potential for the production of innovative foods through research and knowledge transfer. In order to calibrate and orientate this support work, the LfL needs an assessment of the market potential.
